A film series in ten drama feature films known as “chapters,” Adams Apples follows the life of the Adams’ family in the city of Accra, which consists of Dorris a recently widowed ex-diplomat, and her three daughters, Baaba, Jennifer, Kuukua, and their family’s trials and tribulations. On her mother’s birthday, Jennifer, Baaba, and Kuukua have a surprise in store, but when Mrs. Adams arrives home with a surprise of her own, the surprise is almost ruined. Meanwhile, Baaba is struggling with her own marital issues, contemplating forgiving her estranged husband for his indiscretions and being tormented by hers. Kuukua and Jennifer also have issues to deal with, Kuukua encountering a ghost from her past and Jennifer driving her assistant to a diabolical plan that could spell her demise. Throughout the series, these four 21st century Ghananian women must deal with dating, affairs, relationships and past secrets while struggling to succeed and get the most out of life.
