Synopsis

In a tiny and impoverished African city, the lives of the locals all seem to revolve around the bar that belongs to Papa Sandu (Djibril Kouyate). The members of one particular family, ruled over by the matriarchal Mother Bavusi (Lydia Ewande), inhabit the dive on a continual basis. One son, Mike (Hassane Kouyate), is a boxer; another, Kapa (Sidy Camara), is a mechanic; and the third son, Duka (Boubacar S. Diarra), was conceived in secret with Papa Sandu himself.
