Synopsis

Dégal à Dialloubé is one of Souleymane Cissé’s first films, shot in 1970 shortly after his graduation from cinematography school.  It is a documentary film shot in Mali on a handheld camera.  There is very little to be found on this work, as it was made before Cissé produced a fully-fledged film and gained any notoriety, but for enthusiasts of his filmography, Dégal à Dialloubé is an important addition to fans’ must-see lists.
