Synopsis

This documentary by Diawara follows acclaimed author Ngugi wa Thiong’o as he and his wife, political activist Njeri, along their journey back to Kenya following years that they had been exiled. They are indeed welcomed home by hopeful, excited crowds, though also find themselves coping with the negative regards from some who feel their revolutionary words and actions to be threatening.
