Synopsis

Lapite, the new King-elect, decides to eliminate his enemies by assassination or sending them into exile. He marries his wife and exploits the resources of forest trees; The townspeople and farmers protest but they are ruthlessly suppressed. Soon, the youth march on the palace and seize the crown, so the desperate Lapite seeks military assistance from Lagata, a military officer. A political power struggle ensues as Lagata kills Lapite and usurps the throne,
