Synopsis
This film is a dramatization of events that occurred during the Rwandan Genocide in 1994. The title of the film is a reference to the time period of the genocide from April 6 to July 1994. It was shot in Kibuye where the genocide had taken place.The movie is centered around Josette; a young Tutsi girl who struggles to survive the killings. Josette takes refuge in a church, while her brother is being hunted down and is murdered. Her boyfriend is saved by the rescue of some rebels. However, the Hutu priest betrays Josette's family, but agrees to spare her life only if she submits to sexual violations. Once she is reunited with her boyfriend, neither can fathom the horrid reality that has become of their lives. Josette becomes pregnant with the priest's child; however, she abandons the baby.
