Synopsis
An adventure drama of 105 minutes, The Sheltering Desert follows two German geologists, Henno Martin and Hermann Korn, conducting field research in South-West Africa (Namibia) in 1935. Set around the Second World War, the two German scientists flee arrest for refusing to join the army out of pacifism by hiding out in the Namib Desert. The film follows their lives over two years in the vastness of the desert while they live in indescribable conditions, facing challenges to survive and the constant threat of detection.
